CalWORKS Counseling Services
The Westside CalWORKS program is an integrated, family-focused mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment program for CalWORKS recipients. Treatment services are family-focused and designed to eliminate barriers to gainful employment created by mental health and substance abuse problems. CalWORKS helps clients who are working to become economically independent after being on public assistance.

STAFF
The dedicated CalWORKS staff consists of:
- Clinical Case Managers
- Psychologists
- Psychiatrist
- Community Liaisons
- Childcare providers
REQUIREMENTS
CalWORKS clients must be:
- A recipient of services provided by Department of Human Services (DHS)
- A San Francisco resident
- Enrolled in the Welfare-to-Work Initiative
REFERRALS
Most CalWORKS clients are referred by DHS Employment Specialists however, some clients are referred by community-based organizations that provide collaborative services with DHS. A small amount of clients are self-referred. Referrals can be made Monday through Friday by calling (415) 581-0449.
